The Congress gets so many things wrong these days it seems we would be amiss if we didn’t report on something they get right.
Since the 90′s, sartorially inspired Senators have designated the 4th Thursday of June as “Seersucker Thursday”. Allegedly the tradition was started by Sen. Trent Lott of Mississippi as an homage to a time when Senators, usually from Southern states, wore Seersucker in the summer to beat the heat and humidity of Washington. As a fan and proponent of Seersucker, we say “Well Done”.
